Emercis Catalog Server is acquired by Impressa, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Renaissance Interactive Holding Corp.



Amazon.com acquires MindCorps, integrating MindCorps' e-commerce application development talent into its Web development operations.



Eric Best joins the Ubarter.com Board of Directors. Ubarter.com is acquired by Network Commerce for $45 million. MindCorps creates the architecture for Ubarter.com, the cash-free way to buy and sell products and services on the Web.



MindCorps develops AlwaysInStyle.com, an intelligent shopping personalization tool for Hanover Direct, a $500 million catalog retailer and direct marketer.



MindCorps develops a business-to-business exchange for Kodak Polychrome Graphics to replace EDI-based systems for channel partner purchasing.



1998


800.com adopts Emercis Catalog Server technology.



Gear.com adopts Emercis Catalog Server technology as its e-commerce platform. Gear.com is the first and largest all sporting goods online retailer, exclusively selling manufacturer-authorized closeout and overstock merchandise.



Network Associates adopts Emercis Catalog Server technology as the platform for the McAfee Online Store.



MindCorps develops Corbisimages.com, the royalty-free stock photography site for Corbis.



MindCorps creates subsidiary Emercis Corporation to deliver catalog management technology to market.



1997


MindCorps develops the first Universal Studios Online Store and Studio Backlot Auction.



MindCorps develops the first online storefront for Wizards of the Coast. The Wizards of the Coast Online Store achieves revenues of $1 million per day within 12 months of launch.



MindCorps is retained to develop the transaction infrastructure for PhotoDisc’s online commerce system.



MindCorps develops product extensions for Microsoft Commercial Internet System and Site Server Commerce Edition. MindCorps develops the auction component that ships with Site Server 3.0.



OnHealth (now WebMD Health) enlists MindCorps' expertise in the design of its next-generation online services.

MindCorps develops Web-based software for Galileo International (formerly Apollo Travel Services).



Eric Best co-founds MindCorps Incorporated.



Eric Best develops project workflow software for MSN 2.0. ONRAMP captures functional specifications for the definition and approval of online "shows" within MSN. The data is parsed online and routed through e-mail to teams within MSN Operations.



1995


As a principal of Olsen-Cyrus Associates, Eric Best authors a call center scalability plan for the launch of Windows 95 and develops the first Microsoft intranet help desk, the ITG Directory of Services.
